Pre-shipment inspections are carried out on a container-by-container basis before product leaves the factory; they not only serve as a vital check on product quality but also include other checks including packaging, volume of product per container and carton markings.
During Production Inspection (Dupro)
Performed during the early stages of production, Dupro inspections act as a means of evaluating finished product quality as it comes off the line.
In-Process Quality Checks (IPQC)
The In-Process Quality Check provides a snapshot of the situation at a factory once production is underway. It will typically consider and report on stocks of raw materials or components, any current production problems, daily production rate and the quality of finished product.
Loading Inspection
Loading inspections ensure that the correct container is loaded at the factory or at the port and provides up-to-the-minute information on shipping schedules.

Capability audits offer you greater assurance that a factory is able to manufacture your product in the volume required, within the timescale necessary and at an appropriate level of quality.
Social Audits
Through the mechanism of social audits, UL-STR helps you protect your brand by better understanding the complex dynamics of human rights, ethical performance and global sourcing.
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Good Manufacturing Practices are procedures that describe the methods, equipment, facilities and control required for producing cosmetics, human and veterinary pharmaceutical products, medical devices, processed food and biologically dericed products. UL-STR can assess whether manufacturers are operating to GMP.
There are many advantages to sourcing product offshore, however this can also incolve risk. UL-STR inspections and audits represent a cost-effective means of ensuring products imported from abroad are of the required quality and fit for purpose.
